Police may be one step closer to solving the death of a ZNS broadcaster after a suspect in the tragedy turned herself in.
Raquel Johnson, 30, of Plantol Street, turned herself in on Saturday after a wanted bulletin was released for her capture.
Last week during the 80th Anniversary of the Broadcasting Corporation of the Bahamas, Scott Richards, 48, was found dead of apparent gun wounds to the upper body.
Richards’ body was found about 100 feet from a vehicle in the area of Bonefish Pond off Cowpen Road.
The discovery was made shortly after 9:55 a.m. when officers observed an unoccupied silver Dodge Durango vehicle parked at the end of a road.
Officers came across the body during a routine mobile patrol when they were in the area.
Richards was a gospel announcer and host of Night Time Inspiration and Choirs of The Bahamas.
The passing of Richards was felt but not only those of the media industry but also fans who paid their respects on social media.
Richards worked at the Broadcasting Corporation since 2001.
