Police have released the identity of the country’s 88th homicide victim.

Seventeen-year-old Trevon Black of Meadow Street was shot to death Tuesday on Dunmore Street off Hospital Lane.
Little details have emerged about the circumstances surrounding the shooting and residents in the area refused to talk to the media.

The incident happened shortly before 4:00 p.m.

Black was taken to hospital by private vehicle where he died a short time later.

Another murder happened on Hospital Lane recently.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jasnell Roberts was gunned down after playing a game of dominoes.

The incident along with repeated complaints from residents prompted the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) to increase its presence in the area.

Black’s murder is the second murder in as many days. Early Sunday morning a Montell Heights man was gunned down while standing in front of a Bowe Avenue home.

A group of men approached 23-year-old Keith Armbrister and opened fire on him, hitting him multiple times.

He died at hospital a short time later.
