Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis, pioneer of the Bahamas National Breakfast Program recently joined Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Science and Technology the Hon. I. Chester Cooper, Englerston Member of Parliament the Hon. Glenys Hanna Martin, and Parliamentary Secretary the Hon. Keenan Johnson at C.H. Reeves Junior High School for the pilot launch of the programme into Junior High Schools in New Providence. Other Ministry of Education executives were also participated in a taste testing with students at C.H. Reeves Junior High School.
Since its inception, the BNSBP has served over 2.1 million breakfasts to more than 20,500 students across 118 schools on 17 islands, including all special, all-age, pre-primary, and primary schools. Now, that support is growing to reach even more of our students.
