A 19-year-old man was taken into custody Monday on suspicion of rape, police have confirmed.
According to reports, shortly before noon Monday, officers from the flying squad acting on intelligence arrested the Sugar Apple Street, Pinewood Gardens resident for questioning in reference to the alleged incident.
Investigations into this matter are ongoing.

An American man was taken into custody for drug possession Monday.
According to reports, shortly after 2:00 p.m., officers from Paradise Island Police Station while at East Bay and Fowler Streets conducted a search of a 19-year-old man from Port St. Lucie, Florida and found a quantity of marijuana in his possession.
The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.
