Investigators at the Flight Standards Inspectorate said it could be up to four months before a final report on that Sky Bahamas Abaco crash is completed and released.
Back on June 13 crash when the airplane skidded off the runway of the Marsh Harbour International Airport upon returning from Fort Lauderdale.
The aircraft, which was attempting to land during heavy rain showers, left the runway and travelled through a runway water drain.
According to the preliminary report from the Civil Aviation Department, weather conditions at the time of the accident were reported as heavy and thundershowers in the area of the airfield.
Twenty four people, 21 passengers and three crew members were on board that plane but no injuries were recorded.
Lead investigators on the case said they are still waiting on the plane’s manufacturers to do their investigations.
Those manufacturers are expected to inspect the wing of the plane and is also in the process of sending over the plane’s cockpit voice recorder and data recorder for investigations.
A final report is expected sometime in September or October.
