A 44-year-old Kenwood Street resident is in police custody after police allegedly busted him with a large quantity of marijuana.
Officers from the Mobile Division searched the suspect’s home and found the drugs shortly before 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The drugs weighed 11 pounds and have an estimated street value of $11,000.
In a separate incident, officers from the Selective Enforcement Team (SET) arrested a 33-year- Fowler Street man for marijuana possession.
The man was arrested shortly before 2:00 a.m. Thursday on Quakoo Street.
Meanwhile, a 32-year-old Newbold Street man was arrested after being caught with a large quantity of copper wire.
Officers from the South Central Police Station – formerly the Grove Police Station – arrested the man around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday.
Officers were patrolling the Baillou Hill Road area near Robinson Road when they intercepted a blue Sentra with three men inside. That was when they discovered the wires.
Two of the men evaded police; however, the driver was arrested and is assisting police with their investigations.
