The Bahamas continues to wrestle with the vexing issue of illegal fishing.
On Monday, Defence Force officials apprehended a group of poachers in the northern Bahamas.
Officers on board the HMBSP-45 were on routine patrol when they searched a catamaran, ‘Meat Hook,’ 0.32 nautical miles off Rocky Bar, Abaco.
According to authorities, onboard were five Americans along with an unknown quantity of crawfish.
The group was taken to Marsh Harbour and handed over to police officials to be processed.
