One of the victims from Monday’s homicides has been identified as 33-year-old Nadia Tracy Cartwright.
Cartwright was killed early Monday morning just after 2:30 a.m. on Blue Hill Road opposite the entrance to Yellow Elder Gardens.
Reports are that the Marshall Road resident was on the back of a trail motorcycle when a grey Nissan Tida pulled alongside her and the driver and the occupants opened fire.
Cartwright was also rolled over by the car.
The mother of four had a single gunshot wound to the head.
The Bahama Journal has also been informed that she was a waitress at Naughty Johnny’s in the Old Fort Plaza.
Police have two suspects in custody – a 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman – in connection with the matter.
Cartwright was one of three killed on Monday.
Prince Prudent, 37, was gunned down in an attempted armed robbery through Sapodilla Boulevard in Pinewood Gardens.
Thirty-five-year-old Latoya Williams was also killed on Monday just after 3:30 a.m.
Officers were called to Cordeaux Avenue following reports that a shooting had occurred. When they arrived, officers found Williams and a man suffering from gunshot wounds at Toya’s Bar and Lounge.
Williams died a short time later in hospital.
The murder count now stands at 76.
At this same point last year, the count stood at 70.
