A 27-year-old man was shot to death outside a bar early Saturday morning following a dispute over a woman, police have confirmed.
Police said the two men had been quarrelling at the Baillou Hill Road South bar.
The incident escalated into a scuffle outside the establishment and the suspect pulled out a gun and opened fire on the victim.
He died at the scene.
Police said the suspect then fled the scene with two other men in a gold Century Buick.
Officers later found the car along Carmichael Road.
Sources close to the Bahama Journal say that the victim goes by the nickname ‘Alley.’
Police have already arrested one man in connection with this matter, but up to press time the other two men remained on the loose.
In other crime news, a man who was shot in the stomach is in serious condition at the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH).
Police said a gunman approached the victim, who was standing on Cordeaux Avenue shortly before 2:00 a.m. and opened fire.
The victim drove himself to the Wulff Road Police Station and was later taken to PMH in an ambulance.
In other news, police are on the hunt for two suspects who shot a 22-year-old man Saturday night in a drive-by.
Police said the victim, along with a group of men, was standing in front of a Willow Tree Avenue, Pinewood Gardens home at 11:20 p.m. when two men on motorcycles armed with handguns open fire and shot the victim.
The suspects later sped off.
The victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, where he is detained in serious condition.
