A man is detained in hospital after a shooting incident in the capital on Tuesday night.

Reports indicate that shortly before 9 p.m., the victim was shot by a male assailant while walking on Third Street, The Grove.

The suspect escaped on foot.

Subsequently, the victim was transported to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

Investigations are ongoing.
