The family of two brothers who were shot only days apart said they are stilling seeking justice for their loved ones.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a family member of 21-year-old Omar Moxey told the Bahama Journal that “nothing has happened with the case.”
Moxey was killed on August 24 shortly after midnight.
At the time, he and two other men were at Potter’s Cay Dock when shots were fired. They were injured in the process.
According to police, all three men were taken to hospital and detained; however, Moxey died a short time later.
His younger brother, 18-year-old Rodero Munnings was killed two days later.
Police said Munnings was standing with another person in front of a home located at #5 White’s Road, off Kemp Road when a dark-colored Honda Accord drove by and an occupant fired several shots.
The teen died on the scene, authorities reported.
“We haven’t heard anything and it’s not easy to deal with,” she said.
“We know the police have their hands full, but we just want justice for our boys. I am happy to finally learn though that the police have finally arrested someone and the family is appreciative of the police’s hard work.”
Acting on intelligence, around 2:00a.m. Friday, Selective Enforcement Team officers went to the home of a 35-year-old male resident of Pinewood Gardens and arrested him for questioning in connection with Moxey’s murder.
