Police confiscated $10,000 worth of marijuana from Freeport International Airport on Monday.
Officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) continued their investigations on Tuesday into the discovery of 10 pounds of marijuana at the Charter Section of the airport.
Officers found the drugs after searching passengers and some luggage that came on a Family Island flight.
The drugs were in black bag that was left unclaimed.
No arrest was made in this incident
Meanwhile, three men – ages 42, 35 and 30 years – are in police custody in New Providence after being found in possession of a large quantity of suspected marijuana.
According to reports, shortly after 2:00 p.m. Monday, officers from the DEU were on routine patrol on Bernard Road in the Thompson Street area when they noticed some people in a champagne Dodge Caravan acting suspiciously.
The officers searched the car and found two pounds of marijuana.
The drugs are worth $2,000.
