A man and his wife were taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) Monday after being injured in a house fire.
Police said a fire broke out at the couple’s Hyacinth Avenue, Garden Hills home yesterday shortly after 1:00 a.m.
When fire-fighters got on the scene they met the western section of a seven room, single storey home engulfed in flames.
They managed to quickly get the fire under control.
The pair was taken to hospital. The wife is being treated for smoke inhalation and the husband for injuries to his face and hands.
Meantime, a Grand Bahama man was injured on Sunday during a collision with a fire truck.
The victim, who was driving a Mercedes Benz, was heading north on Coral Road when he crashed into the truck, which was heading to a fire at the time.
The driver was taken to the Rand Memorial Hospital.
