Bahamas Laws Online was upgraded and relaunched with the purpose to be more informative
and aims to display legislation in a format that makes it more user-friendly.
This new provision will allow for the review and comment of proposed new legislation prior
to parliamentary debate.
According to a statement by from the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal
Affairs, part of the upgrades includes a new ‘Bills’ menu option which will grant users of the
online portal access to tabled proposals of new legislation.
The statement also revealed that the Office of the Attorney General and Ministry of Legal
Affairs believe that this relaunch is an additional step towards promoting greater
parliamentary transparency and will be the first time the Bahamian public will be able to have

It explained that this tool will also be a key component of a digital parliament, providing
