Police arrested an American citizen on Harbour Island for drug possession.

According to reports, shortly after 5:00 p.m. Saturday, a 20-year-old man of West Palm Beach, Florida was taken into custody for possession of a quantity of marijuana.

The suspect is expected to appear in court early this week to be formally charged.

Meanwhile, Drug Enforcement Officers (DEU) on Grand Bahama arrested two men ages 42 and 41and a 19-year-old woman after they were found in possession of dangerous drugs,

According to reports, shortly after 10:00a.m., a team of officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Coral Garden, where they discovered a quantity of suspected marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,200.

The estimated weight of the suspected marijuana is one pound 3.2 ounces.

Officers also found a total of $510.00 in mixed U.S. and Bahamian currencies which were also seized as proceeds of drugs.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early this week.
