Alleged Police Shooter Charged

The man police say shot two officers during last week’s brazen daytime robbery last week in Pinewood Gardens was arraigned in court Tuesday on unrelated charges.

Raynaldo Adderley, 27, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez on charges of armed robbery, firearms possession with the intent to endanger and threats of death.

The Spice Street resident was charged for the February 6 armed robbery of Mario Connolly, who Adderley and another man, Jeffrey Morley, 19, of Bamboo Boulevard allegedly held at gunpoint and stole a gold chain and charm valued at $7,000.

Additionally, Adderley was charged with three counts of firearm possession with the intent to endanger a life in connection with three incidents back on February 7.

In those incidents, he is alleged to have used a firearm to endanger the lives of Adrian Miller, Maurice Arthur and Denzel Miller.

Adderley was also charged with threats of death against Alexia Fox in connection with an incident that occurred on February 7.

He turned himself into authorities last Friday, a day after he allegedly shot two police officers during an alleged house breaking.

Charges in connection with those matters are expected to be filed at a later date.

Adderley was not required to enter a plea to the charges of armed robber and firearm possession. He did however plead not guilty to the threats of death charge.

Adderley was remanded to prison and until June 25 when the matter will continue by way of a Voluntary Bill of Indictment (VBI).
