Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating rape suspect 36-year-old Marvin Smith who also goes by the names Victor Johnson and Ninja.

Police released an all points bulletin for the Buttonwood Avenue, Pinewood Gardens resident on Tuesday.

Marvin Smith is described as being a light brown male with slim build and stands between five-feet-seven-inches tall to five-feet-nine-inches tall.

Authorities are appealing to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Marvin Smith to anonymously call police at 919 or Crime Stoppers at 328-tips (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands).

Three Arrested in Armed Robbery

Three male suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning shortly after they allegedly committed an armed robbery.

According to reports, shortly before 8:00 a.m., a man was standing in front of his residence at Jasmine Drive off Prince Charles Drive, when a man armed with a handgun robbed him of his 2008 Black Honda Accord and sped off. A short while later around 9:30 a.m. officers from the Eastern Division, Southeastern Division assisted by the K-9 Unit acting on intelligence went to Silverado Close, where they spotted the vehicle taken during the armed robbery and arrested three males ages 23, 20 and 17-years-old.

Investigations are ongoing.
