No more “Get the door, it’s Dominoes,” as the pizza franchise which has made a name for itself as the leading choice for pizza delivered to you is now trying to lure customers into its stores for a different kind of dining experience.
And on Wednesday, Dominoes Pizza opened its new Cable Beach store just one door down from where it was previously housed in the Hoffer Shopping Plaza.
The new store is considerably larger and is intended to enhance the customer experience giving them a front seat to the art of pizza making.
During a red-ribbon cutting ceremony, guests and patrons were introduced to the new look of the global franchise which is currently undergoing similar transformations at all of its locations around the world.
The Cable Beach store is the first local store to receive the upgrade which includes larger dining areas and full view of the kitchen area where the famous pizzas are made.
Chairman of local franchise holder Abaco Markets Limited Dionisio D’Aguilar, said the upgrade will help the franchise to broaden its customer base.
He added that similar upgrades will take place at the remaining local stores.
“We now make pizzas in front of our customers so we can involve them in the process get them excited about the product that they’re about to have,” he said. “We spent about $375,000 upgrading this store and it’s the new look of Dominoes. We’ve got 11 stores in our chains and we’re going to do three more this year, four more in 2014 and two more in 2015.
“This is the whole new look of Dominoes. Our brand needs to be refreshed. In the life cycle of a chain, it needs to be refreshed and so that is what we are undertaking with our first store in Cable Beach. The store is much bigger, it’s got a better feel and it’s more appealing for our customers to come in and have a bite.”
While Dominoes is staying true to its core values of affordable pizza delivered to you at home, the franchise says customers can also come on in and dine as though they are in the comforts of their very own home.
“The purpose of this is to excite people about our new brand,” Mr. D’Aguilar said. “We want to make it appealing to them to come out and come back into a Dominoes Pizza and revisit it once again and to experience new service, new product and proven quality along with great value.”
