Three men were remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections yesterday on firearm charges, including a Royal Bahamas Defence Force Officer.
Arraigned in Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes, on separate charges, the men were charged with one count of possession of an unlicensed firearm and one count of possession of ammunition.
Two of them charged together were 33-year-old Defence Force Officer, Anthony Jennings and 35-year-old Jason Nottage.
It is alleged that the pair, being concerned together on December 4th, was found in possession of a black 9mm Taurus, and 12 unfired rounds of ammunition.
Both men pleaded not guilty to the charges and were remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections until February 5, 2018 when they return for trial.
Also, arraigned Magistrate Forbes, was 42-year-old Karon Gibson.
Gibson was charged with having possession on an unlicensed .9mm Austria Glock pistol and 10 unfired rounds of ammunition.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was denied bail. He was remanded to The Bahamas Department of Corrections until February 26, 2018 when he returns to court for trial.
