Police in the capital are investigating two separate incidents that left two men dead and two women in hospital over the weekend.
In the first incident, officials in Bimini were called to a shooting incident on Saturday that left a 21-year-old man dead.
According to reports, shortly before noon, officers responded to a South Bimini residence where two male relatives were reportedly involved in a domestic altercation which resulted in one being fatally shot.
The victim was transported to the local clinic, but after being seen by doctors, he died.
Police later recovered two firearms from the scene.
The male relative is assisting police with their investigation.
A graphic video of the victim in his final moments made the rounds on social media and prompted general outrage from local residents.
In the second incident, a man was shot in a drive-by shooting in Walnut Street, Pinewood Gardens, on Friday night and later died of his wounds in hospital on Saturday afternoon.
The man was driving with the two women shortly after 10:00 p.m. when the occupants of a Honda Odyssey pulled alongside their car and opened fire on them before speeding off.
All three occupants were taken to hospital.
The two women were treated and later discharged.
These latest incidents bring the countries murder count to 35.
Investigations are ongoing.
