A verdict in the Kofthe Goodman murder trial is expected later this week.
The 38-year-old father is accused of the 2011 murder of 11-year-old Marco Archer.
The Columbus Primary student went missing on September 23.
His lifeless body was found five days later in bushes behind a Yorkshire Street apartment in Cable Beach.
Goodman’s trial opened in the Supreme Court four months ago, with testimony from a number of witnesses including the victim’s mother.
The accused turned down the opportunity to take the stand yesterday, noting that his son and nephews were willing to take the stand, but because of altercations they have already seen happened, they wish not to testify.
Defense attorney, Geoffrey Farquharson’s submission in the case will be followed by closing arguments.
Supreme Court Justice, Bernard Turner has revealed plans to sum up the high profile case on Thursday.
He also told the jury to be prepared to be sequestered for the night, if needed.
The case resumes on Wednesday at 10:00a.m.
