The bodies of two men, who were murdered in separate incidents, were found yesterday.
According to Chief Superintendent Paul Rolle, the first victim was identified as 49-year-old Keith Davis of Allen Close.
Mr. Davis was found by a relative who had planned to visit him at his residence.
“This morning upon entering the yard he notice his relative lying on the lawn of the yard with his shot gun a short distance away from him,” Chief Superintendent Rolle said.
“We believe the victims Nissan Tiana is missing. We still have not located that and we are trying to get a number for it so that persons can be on the lookout for that.”
Chief Superintendent Rolle noted that along with the victim’s car being unaccounted for, his driver’s license was also found in the yard which suggested and gave evidence of a struggle.
Later Monday afternoon, another male body was found in an abandoned building behind the Bahamas Public Service Union (BPSU) hall on East Street South, off Soldier Road.
The unidentified body, according to Chief Superintendent Rolle, was there for at least two days.
“The workers who are doing some repairs at this BPSU building, one of the gentlemen went to the rare building to I suppose, do an inspection and as he stood at the window, observed the body of a black male laying on a box spring on the floor in the western room,” he said.
The victim was presumably beaten and left for dead according to officials.
“This individual has some bruising about the body which appears as though whoever attacked him, beat him and left him,” said Chief Superintendent Rolle.
“His clothing was all removed and we found his pants, underwear and shirt nearby.”
Investigations into both matters are ongoing and if anyone has information regarding any of the incidents they are urged to contact police as soon as possible.
