Violent crime continued to saturate the capital this past holiday weekend, as the murder count increased by two.
According to police reports, shortly before 2:00 p.m. while a man was standing in the area of Dorsette Street in Fox Hill, two men in a red Sentra approached him and opened fire, fatally shooting the victim.
The suspects sped off, and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
In other crime news:
Last Friday, police reported that shortly before 10:00 p.m. two men were about to enter a vehicle at Potter’s Cay Dock, when two males armed with handguns shot them before fleeing on foot.
Unfortunately, one of the victims succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the hospital.
The other man remains in stable condition.
Investigations in both matters are ongoing.
