Three people were forced to part with hundreds of dollars after damaging the national flag.

The incident reportedly happened on Saturday, July 26 shortly after 8:00 p.m. at the suspects’ home in Sands Bank, Abaco.

The trio – two males ages 57 and 20 years and a female, 44 years – all of Haitian descent, appeared before Magistrate Ancella Evans on Tuesday.

They all pleaded guilty to the charge and were fined $500 each or face three months prison time.

Furthermore, the 44-year-old woman, who had no status here, was ordered deported.
