Three Dead in Abaco Fatality

Three people – two females and a male – are dead after their car collided with another in Abaco over the weekend.

According to police, on Saturday around 11:50p.m., police received information that a traffic accident occurred on S.C Bootle Highway involving two vehicles.

Reports are that both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the head on collision occurred.

The first vehicle was a gray 2002 Cadillac and was driven by an 18-year-old man, who received minor injuries and his 17-year-old male passenger, who received a broken leg and arm.

The second vehicle was a black Honda Civic driven by a 21-year-old female who died at the scene and her 21- year-old female passenger who later succumbed to her injuries at the Cooper’s Town Clinic.

A third male passenger was also injured and was being airlifted to the Princess Margaret Hospital for further medical treatment.

However, during transportation via air ambulance the male passenger died.

Police along with Medical Officials at the Cooper’s Town Community Clinic, and the Treasure Cay Fire Crash and Rescue Services were at the scene.

Police are actively investigating this matter and are advising the general public to adhere to the rules that govern the streets, obey the speed limit and to buckle up.
