The 18-year-old male who allegedly killed a teen girl last week spent his first night on remand yesterday.
Cameron Vincent is accused of intentionally causing the death of 18-year-old Altanika Young on Sunday, August 11.
Young’s body was found through a road near St. Augustine’s Monastery.
Police believe she had been dead for about five to six hours as rigor mortis had already set in.
At the time, authorities had ruled the matter as a sudden death.
This however was upgraded to murder after Young’s autopsy report showed that the teen had been strangled.
Vincent was not required to enter a plea to the charge.
The matter was adjourned to November 5 at noon.
A voluntary bill of indictment (VBI) will be presented at that time.
The accused is represented by Ian Cargill.
