Superintendent Stephen Dean was among a number of honorees at a Rotary Foundation Gala event.
The event, held at Government House paid tribute to Rotarians and others in the community who give “service above self.”
Superintendent Dean, a member of the Rotary Club of Nassau, received the prestigious Rotary Paul Harris Award in recognition of his service to the country and for the gallant efforts he and his colleagues on the Royal Bahamas Police Force do to make The Bahamas a safer place to live, work, visit and play.
As a recipient of this award, $1,000 was donated to The Rotary Foundation in Superintendent Dean’s name.
Contributions to The Rotary Foundation allow Rotarians to continue providing vaccines that will help rid the world of polio.
The Rotary Foundation will also be able to provide grant funding to Rotary Clubs to assist with numerous projects.
