Simms Couple Laid To Rest

Simms Laid To RestIt was a double dose of sadness yesterday as two well respected Bahamians, Retired Sergeant Brady Simms and his wife Princess Simms.

Funeral services were held yesterday at the Bahamas Faith Ministries Diplomat Center on Carmichael Road, as scores of family, friends and associates including members of the judiciary, the Royal Bahamas Police Force and the Ministry of Tourism were out to pay tribute to the fallen couple.

Back on May 19th, the couple along with their seven month old grandchild were found unresponsive in their Butler Street home in Nassau Village.

When officers arrived on the scene neighbours and relatives had already forced their way into the home only to find the couple and the baby with very little vital signs, fighting for their lives.

The couple died after being rushed to the hospital, and the baby who was initially in very critical condition, was eventually discharged in good health.

Police linked the couple’s death to a generator that was connected to the home, which the couple had purchased just the day before.

Brady, a retired sergeant, served as a bailiff in the Supreme Court, while Princess served as Human Resource Senior Manager at the Ministry of Tourism.
