Abaco police have released an all points bulletin for the pilot who they believe attempted to fly a group of illegal immigrants out of the country.
Officers said they are actively looking for 30-year-old Owen George Johnson.
Police said officers were acting on information when they headed to the Sandy Point Airport and spotted an aircraft landing.
The officers reportedly drove their vehicle on the runway.
The aircraft subsequently made a sharp turn, colliding with the police jeep, according to authorities.
All the passengers reportedly exited the aircraft, hoping to escape.
While police were successful in rounding up two female Haitian nationals, a male Haitian national and four Dominicans, Johnson, the pilot managed to escape.
Johnson is wanted for questioning reference to illegal landing, causing damages and assault with a deadly instrument.
Immigration authorities are actively investigating the matter.
