The young man killed Monday afternoon has been identified as 18-year-old Sean Lavando Munnings.
According to police, the Sir Lynden Pindling Estates resident was in a fight with another man through Balls Alley, off Shirley Street around 2:00 p.m. when he was stabbed in the neck.
Munnings was taken to hospital where he died soon after.
At last report, police were following “significant” leads into the matter.

A team of traffic investigators from the capital headed to Eleuthera yesterday after a tourist was killed in accident late Monday night.
Three other people were wounded.
The incident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Queen’s Highway in the area of Rainbow Bay and involved a blue 1999 Chevy Malibu vehicle that was traveling north and a 1996 champagne colored Chevy Lumina SD, traveling south.
The deceased, who police said was behind the wheel of the Lumina, died on the scene.
His three passengers were injured along with the driver of the Malibu and his passenger.
Investigations into both matters are ongoing.
Meantime, police have arrested a 43-year-old Pitt Road man who escaped custody on Saturday in the area of Boyd Road and Tyler Street.
Police said the suspect, who is wanted in connection with a drug and firearm seizure, was captured in the area of South Street on Monday.
