The traffic fatality count climbed another notch higher after a pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday evening.
Preliminary reports indicate that a man was driving a white Honda RAV 4 vehicle south on Market Street near Quakoo Street when he struck a man attempting to cross the street.
The unidentified man died on the scene.
At last report, the driver, who was unharmed, was assisting police with their investigations.

The vehicle then careened a few feet along a cliff before coming to a stop.
The male passenger died on the scene.
The identities of both victims have not yet been released.
