The construction worker who was robbed and killed on Tuesday was officially identified as 51-year-old Don Newbold of Deans Lane off Nassau Street.
The shooting happened after 1:00 p.m. through a tract road in the Blue Hill Heights just off the Tonique Williams-Darling Highway.
Journal sources said after the victim was robbed and shot on a job site.
He later got inside his company vehicle and drove several feet away before dying.
Newbold, who worked for B.A.I.S Construction, was found slumped over outside of his company’s white Ford truck.
Central Detective Unit (CDU) chief, Superintendent Paul Rolle said the victim had gunshot wounds to his upper and lower torso.
Newbold’s death marked the country’s 34th murder victim for the year.
