More witnesses took to the stand on day two of the trial against three young men who, two of whom are juveniles accused of the December 9th murder of Doris Johnson Senior High School student, Adonai Wilson.
Darante Davis and two juveniles are accused of the daylight murder.
Among the witnesses were Detective Constables Raphael Miller and John Rolle.
Both detectives told the court they arrested the two minors accused on the day after the murder.
Officer Rolle noted that during the arrest, the accused stated that he was present at the scene of the crime, with a knife in his possession, but he insisted that he did not stab Wilson.
Detective Rolle noted that the accused appeared frightened at the time; however he said in no way was he forceful with the suspect.
Attorney for the accused, Roberto Reckley, in cross examination, suggested that his client actually told Detective Rolle that he did not have a knife that day.
The final witness yesterday was a female juvenile who identified herself as one of the defendant’s best friends and the cousin of one of the others accused.
She said just minutes before the murder, she observed, in the area of Popeye’s Restaurant on Prince Charles Drive, the deceased and Davis in a brawl that was sparked after Wilson had “punched Davis in the back of the head”.
The witness then pulled Davis away from Wilson, parting the fight.
According to the witness, Wilson then ran east on Prince Charles Drive towards Blanco Bleach Company.
The witness then proceeded to catch the bus, and observed Wilson lying on the ground nearby “with blood on his back”.
On December 9th 2015, Wilson was found with multiple stab wounds, just a stone throw away from his school campus, near Blanco Bleach Company on Prince Charles Drive.
Minutes after the murder, the incident went viral on social media.
