A 22-year-old man died after being stabbed during in an altercation through Balls Alley yesterday evening.
According to police, the incident occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. in the Kemp Road area after an argument between the victim and another man escalated into him being stabbed to the neck.
The young man was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH).
However, he succumbed to his injuries around 5:30 p.m.
This pushes the country’s homicide count to 12.
It comes just a day after Maguerite Oltimae, 54, was gunned down at her convenience store on East Street.
Family members said just two years ago, her husband met a similar fate.
Active investigations into both matters are continuing and police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to contact them at 919 or 328-TIPS.
