Police responded to a fatal shooting on Ida Street in the Englerston constituency yesterday evening.

Police confirmed that one person is dead and another has been taken to hospital to be treated for gunshot injuries to the arm.

Investigations are ongoing.

Body Found Near Baillou Hills Sporting Complex

Police are investigating the shooting death of a man whose body was found yesterday in the area of the Baillou Hills Sporting Complex.

According to police, sometime around 3:30 a.m. they received information and went to Service Road near that complex where they found a man lying on the ground.

The man was found with several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police identified the man as 24-year-old Duval Watkins of Yellow Elder Gardens.

Investigations are ongoing.
