A man who was shot early yesterday morning in an inner city community is in hospital in critical condition, police said.
The shooting happened on Lewis Street off East Street at 12:20 a.m.
Police say the victim sustained gunshot wounds to the upper body.
He was taken to hospital where he is detained in critical condition.
In other crime news, a 17-year-old boy is in hospital after being stabbed Monday evening.
The stabbing took place at 6:45 p.m.
Authorities said the victim was visiting a female friend in the Tall Pines Subdivision when a man he knows approached him and stabbed him.
The victim is in stable condition.
Police in Eleuthera arrested two men for drug possession Monday afternoon.
Police busted the men at 4:30 p.m. at Colebrook Alley. They searched the property, which was being occupied by the men, and allegedly found marijuana.
Officers from the Central Division confiscated five unlicenced motorcycles and arrested a man between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Three motorcycles were confiscated from the Potters Cay Dock area and two from the Shirley Street and Elizabeth Avenue area.
