An alleged rapist was arraigned in the Magistrate court after breaking into a woman’s home and sexually assaulting her.

Christie Rahming, 22, was arraigned before Magistrate Constance Delancey on one charge of rape.

It is alleged that on Sunday Rahming forced his way into a woman’s home.

Shortly after 2:00 a.m. Rahming entered the woman’s home located at Fifth Street Coconut Grove off Robinson Road armed with a knife.

After forcing his way into the woman’s home, he sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing on foot.

Rahming was not required to enter a plea.

He was remanded to the Bahamas Department Corrections until July 13.
