JLine Fitness Helps Raise Cancer Awareness

For the entire month of October, two local businesses came together to help raise Breast Cancer Awareness and to give back to one lucky person that has been effected by the disease in the Bahamas.

Owners of J Line Fitness Bahamas, John and Jennifer Godet and co-owner of Print Tingz, Carlene Louissaint brought their businesses together to fight Breast Cancer through nutrition, fitness and awareness paraphernalia.

‘’With our vision of healing the entire person, of course we have to address issues such as cancer and so for the month of October we wanted to be sure that we were able to attract new clients to J Line to bring awareness to the disease and to bring ways to incorporate more healthy lifestyles ‘’ said Mrs. Godet.

Owners of J Line Fitness said they were offered the opportunity to bring Breast Cancer Awareness to their clients by one of their gym-members, part-time workers and a co-owner in a the printing company Print Tingz.

“They have approached us in going pink for the month of October to bring awareness to all of our clients as well as others in the community to let them know where they can buy or create designs and purchase their shirts for the month of October” said Mr. Godet.

Carlene Louissaint of Print Tingz says exactly why they chose to give a portion of the proceeds from Breast Cancer Awareness paraphernalia to an individual rather than an organization.

‘’ Each year we came up with designs and did t-shirts and we wanted them to be Bahamian. They are all locally printed and part proceeds will go to an actual cancer survivor. The reason we didn’t want to give the funds to an actual institution is because there are other expenses that persons who are affected have. So if we can give it to an actual person to assist them in other ways because after going through the disease there are other financial issues that they may have’’ said Ms. Louissaint.
Both companies are continuing to spread breast cancer awareness and are eager to donate their earnings to one lucky cancer survivor at the end of this month.
