Police are investigating the circumstances which led to the drowning death of a 59-year-old male resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida over the weekend.
According to police, it was shortly after 2:00 p.m. Saturday when the victim was on a diving expedition along with his wife and several other people in waters off Stuart Cove in the South Ocean beach area when he allegedly drowned.
The victim was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances around this alleged drowning.
