Five people were shot in three separate incidents over the weekend including two women who remain in critical condition.
In the most recent incident, a 21-year-old woman is detained in hospital after being shot yesterday.
According to reports, around 2:30 a.m., police received a report of a shooting at a home located at Sister Maria Rahming Drive, Millennium Gardens.
When officers arrived, they found a woman suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
The victim was transported to hospital where she is detained in critical condition.
Preliminary information indicates that the victim was asleep in her home when gunshots were fired into her bedroom hitting her multiple times.
Also, shortly after 1:00 a.m. Saturday a man was standing in front of a building on Soldier Road, when he was shot to the abdomen and forearm.
He was transported to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.
Meanwhile, shortly after 10:00 p.m. Friday two women and a man were standing by a vehicle on Plantol Street when they were shot.
The man was shot once to the knee, one of the women was shot once to the hip area and the other woman was shot multiple times about her body.
The victims were taken to hospital where the man and the woman who received single gunshot wounds are in stable condition, however, the woman who was shot multiple times to the body remains in critical condition.
Also around 9:30 p.m. Friday, a man was sitting in his vehicle at the junction of Minnie Street and Moore Avenue when a man armed with a handgun ordered him out of his car and shot him to the right thigh.
The assailant then fled on foot.
The victim was transported to hospital where he is listed in stable condition.
