Drug Bust At LPIA

Officers from the airport division on have confiscated two bags that contained 51 kilos or approximately 112.4 pounds of cocaine after searching a chartered aircraft that landed at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA).

Officials say shortly after 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning police K9 officers on duty at LPIA were assisted by airport officers.

An adult male was taken into custody and is currently assisting Drug enforcement Unit officer with their investigation.

Police officials are seeking the public’s help in locating a 28- year old male wanted for question in regards to attempted murder.

Darren Prosper, of Huyler Street, Big Pond Lane is considered to be armed and dangerous, is of dark brown complexion, medium build and is about 5’ 8” to 5’ 10” tall.

Prosper is being urged to turn himself over to the authorities.

If anyone has any information on the suspect’s whereabouts no matter how small is being asked to contact the authorities as soon as possible.
