Customs Warehouse Robbed

A break-in at the Bahamas Customs warehouse near the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) leaves police conducting investigations.

According to Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Stephen Dean, the incident is alleged to have occurred between Saturday evening and 8a.m. yesterday morning.

At the time of the report, the police had not been able to determine if anything was stolen, but reports confirmed that the entire building was ransacked.

Confirmed reports of the incident circulated on the internet yesterday, accompanied by confirmed photos of the customs office in shambles with a forklift in the centre of the room.

Investigations continue in the matter.
