A business that began over 70 years ago with a hotdog cart in California has made its way to The Bahamas, only the third Caribbean country to boast the taste of Carl’s Jr.
There are nearly 3,500 such charbroiled burger joints around the world in 30 other countries.
Boasting a reputation as America’s leading burger chain, Carl’s Jr hosted a preview event last night at its East West Highway location, which already has a workforce of 65 people.
“The Carl’s Jr. brand is focused on constant innovation and the desire to satisfy the taste of young hungry customers,” said AML Foods Limited Chairman, Dionisio D’Aguilar, one of the key people behind bringing the popular burger franchise to The Bahamas.
“Their core values of exceeding customer expectation for quality value and service are values that AML Foods also share and this has made Carl’s Jr. a very appealing franchise to us.
According to Mr. D’Aguilar, his company prides itself on being innovative.
“Operationally, we are differentiating ourselves by providing the Bahamian consumer with the best value products and services. We strongly believe that Bahamians deserve to shop in modern, first class facilities and we remain committed to investing in our businesses,” he said.
“In the past four years, AML has taken the retail food industry to a higher standard with the introduction of Solomon’s Fresh Market and upgrades to our retail locations. We feel we are now primed to achieve the same outcome in the burger industry. Our decision to introduce Carl’s Jr. to The Bahamas is one that we strongly feel will lead to success for all – most importantly our shareholders, our team members and our customers.”
Mr. D’Aguilar has foreshadowed plans to grow the Carl’s Jr. brand in the country.
