Cuban Migrants Apprehended

Acting on intelligence seven Cuban males aboard a makeshift vessel were intercepted by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Patrol craft P-128 approximately one mile west of West End, Grand Bahama shortly after 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Around 8 a.m., the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Base was alerted on a sighting of suspected migrants aboard a makeshift vessel in the vicinity of West End.

The migrants were subsequently apprehended and transported to Freeport where they were handed over to immigration authorities.
