A family is in mourning after two brothers were killed less than a day apart.
According to police, a 17-year-old boy was standing in front of a home on White’s Addition, Kemp Road just before 11:00 p.m. Sunday when someone in a dark coloured Honda Accord opened fire, shooting the teen several times.
The young man died on the scene.
He has since been identified as Rodero Munnings. He is reportedly the younger brother of 21-year-old Omar Moxey, who was killed while on Potter’s Cay Dock early Saturday morning.
Preliminary reports indicate that Moxey and two other men were at the dock when they were all shot.
Moxey died in hospital soon after.
At last report, the other two men – ages 49 and 24 years – were detained in serious condition.
Police are searching for the gunmen in both matters.
The brothers’ deaths are just two of four murders that occurred in New Providence this past weekend, bringing the homicide count to 76 so far this year.
