During what is typically known as the slow tourism period, the Bimini Bay Resort and Marina has announced that the hotel property will be closed for the next eight weeks.
According to a press release sent from the company, the resort will be undergoing a seasonal closure beginning September 30 and is scheduled to reopen on or before November 15.
During this time, the resort will undergo a comprehensive exercise to upgrade and improve various resort amenities, including the enhancement of several food and beverage outlets and common areas.
“The cost of these improvements will amount to several million dollars,” the company said.
“Resort enhancements and improvements include refurbishments to existing restaurants like Sabor, Aqua Grill and Healing Hole; opening of new food and beverage outlets at Marina Village, cigar bar and lounge “Casa Miranda” and new wine and cheese bar.”
They added that a new upscale beach lounge, bar and entertainment section will be added as well as a beach house lounge to be named ‘Blue.’
Improvements to pool and beach amenities and enhanced landscaping in public and commercial areas are also planned.
Additionally, the resort will be implementing a new amenity programme with villa and suite accommodation offerings.
“The property, which will continue to be fully operational for homeowners, will be undergoing maintenance to stay consistent with improving the overall guest experience, enhanced service standards and product offerings to ensure the utmost in quality for our valued guests and homeowners,” they added.
