A man whom police believe committed a string of murders was arrested yesterday.

After eluding the police for several months, the 27-year-old St. Margaret Street resident was taken into custody.

A team of officers from the Selective Enforcement Team picked up the suspect just before 1:00 p.m. Thursday in the Shirley Street area.

The suspect is wanted for questioning in connection with several murders last year.

Investigations are ongoing.
