Two alleged murderers were yesterday added to the number of people on remand at Her Majesty’s Prisons (HMP).
Dominic Moss, 23 of #36 Commonwealth Boulevard was on Thursday arraigned in connection with the April 23 murder of Renaldo Braynen whose alias is Scar.
According to police, Braynen was in the area of Dunmore Street after noon that day when he was shot and killed.
His alleged killer was not required to enter a plea to the charge when he appeared before Magistrate Sabu Swain.
The matter was fast tracked to the Supreme Court.
Moss is expected back in court on May 15.
Also scheduled to return to court on that date is a second murder accused, 21-year-old Dave Miller.
Authorities are convinced the Key West Street resident killed Rashon Sumner two weeks ago on April 17.
Sumner was reportedly walking south along Key West Street when he was shot twice in the head, once to the chest and hand.
Moss was also not required to enter a plea.
He was instead placed on remand at HMP
In other court news:
Twenty-three-year-old Anthony Sullivan was jailed after being arraigned on attempted murder charges.
His alleged victims are Lenny Oscar, Dellarease Curry and Chestinique Wilson.
The incident is alleged to have taken place last Friday.
Sullivan, a resident of Kenwood Street, was not required to enter a plea.
He too was placed on remand at HMP.
Before, leaving court, the accused claimed he was innocent, stressing that the electronic monitoring bracelet he wears could attest to his whereabouts on the day in question.
However, he was told to make such an argument in the Supreme Court where he is scheduled to appear on May 15.
GB Arraignment
Over in Grand Bahama, a 39-year-old man’s not guilty plea landed him behind bars as well.
Gambier Drive resident Michael Stapledon also known as Michael Miller was reported to police by the Immigration Department in Freeport last Tuesday.
He was subsequently arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Court #1 on six counts of threats by writing.
He pleaded not guilty and was remanded to HMP until September 8.
