An alleged serial burglar limped into a courtroom this past Friday accused of stealing $12,460 worth of goods from three separate homes on West Bay Street.
Twenty-six-year-old Bradley Strachan stood before Magistrate Samuel Mckinney facing six counts of burglary, one count each of stealing and receiving.
It is alleged that between 10 p.m. on June 13 and 3:50 a.m. on June 14, Strachan did break and enter Joanne Wharmby’s home, at 266 West Bay Street, with the intent to commit a felony.
It is also alleged that within that same time frame, he stole a $40 backpack and $120 silver Samsung S7 cell phone.
On June 14, he reportedly broke into the home of Jeremiah Strang, at 264 West Bay Street, and allegedly stole $1,500 cash and one black Apple iPhone X valued at $1,000.
Strachan is further accused of breaking into the home of John Carter, at 270 West Bay Street, on July 5 and stealing a $4,000 silver and black Rolex Oyster watch, a pair of $300 tanzanite earrings, and $1,500 cash.
He was not required to enter a plea and was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Corrections until August 19 for a Voluntary Bill of Indictment.
