A 25-year-old man could soon appear before a magistrate to face a drug charge.
The Winton Meadows resident was on Wednesday arrested after he was found with 15 kilos of suspected cocaine.
According to police, acting on information from the U.S. Customs & Border Protection personnel, officers from the Airport Police Station searched a commercial aircraft around 4:15pm Wednesday and found the drugs inside a suitcase.
Police said the drugs have an estimated street value of some $240,000.
Active police investigations continue.
Police also yesterday touted its success removing another illegal firearm off the streets.
Officers searched bushes in the area of Sears Hill Road around 4:45pm Wednesday and found a high powered weapon.
To date police have removed 301 firearms, along with 4,413 rounds of ammunition throughout the country.
